Poplar Tree
I love the poplars , a few days ago I was on vacation in a small village surrounded by long rows of these old trees and good wood , which are planted in rows with the intention of curbing the wind.
The sound produced by its long branches is pleasant, smooth and powerful at the same time. Sounds that provide calm and serenity.

The poplar is a deciduous tree of the Salicaceae family that can reach a height of 35 meters and is therefore ideal for planting in windy places because its branches are flexible and that is why they do not break easily . These branches also grow horizontally and folded downwards while the trunk is thick and very erect, quite thin and its main feature is that as time passes the bark cracks and so the trunk is dyed in various shades.
The leaves are bright green, jagged and the flowers are grouped in hanging inflorescences. The fruits are capsules with seeds and bloom during February and March.
In addition to its natural beauty, simple and without turns, one of the great virtues of the poplar is that it is a fast-growing tree , solid of a resistant and high-quality wood , fibrous and durable, widely used in the wood industry.
There are several types of poplars and some specimens can be found in places like North Africa, western and central Asia, in some parts of Europe and in South America.
The magic of the poplars
Although the poplar tree is very cultivated for specific purposes -freezing the wind, for obtaining wood, etc.- it is also very much chosen as an ornamental tree , destined to add green in avenues, parks, gardens and fields. It is common to see it next to the roads of the large farms, where they function as screens either in places of high wind or to avoid the earth.
It is important to know that their roots are very large but superficial, so it is necessary to avoid planting them near the houses because their roots will affect the foundations over time.
