Whether Champions League, DFB Final, American Championship or World Cup – football fans get their money’s worth many a year. Especially at the American Championship or the World Cup the games are always raised very big. There’s public viewing on every corner. Often, however, the venues are quite overcrowded. For a beer you often have to wait for some time, right and left press another football fan’s elbows in the side and you can’t really see anything – no wonder that for some such a public viewing event is nothing at all.

Instead of getting annoyed, you can simply arrange to meet friends, colleagues and neighbours for a casual football party in the garden for the next game. But in order for it to really become a successful celebration, there are a few things to think about. I would like to explain to you in more detail which these are in the following.

1st playing field for everyone well in view

If you want to throw a soccer garden party, you have to be able to offer enough space on the one hand and make sure that every guest has a good view of the playing field on the other hand. The small television from the guest room is certainly not the best choice. Mobile screens are best suited for such events, as they are available at beamershop24.de, for example, including a beamer. With a width of 2 metres and a height of 1.5 metres, guests in the back row should also be able to follow the game well.

In order not to bear the costs alone, you could ask around in the neighbourhood if anyone would like to participate. So you can exchange the screen among each other if necessary.

2. no party without decoration

Let’s face it, could you imagine a soccer party without any flags, rattles and flares? Hardly, is it? They are just as much a part of it as the make-up pencil in black-red-gold for the World Cup or EM. The right decoration will get you in the right mood. For every football party you should have ready:

  • Flag of favorite club that can be swung at the gate
  • Rattles & flares to create the right mood
  • Hawaii chains as a decorative accessory
  • Pennant chains for the decoration all around
  • who likes: mugs, napkins & plates for the cosy part of the evening

3. provide adequate seating

Most guests are probably not 18 anymore, so you should have enough seats at your garden soccer party. So your friends and acquaintances don’t have to stand all the time. In principle, you can only invite as many guests as you have seats.

Beer tent sets are a space-saving alternative to many chairs. These can often be borrowed from a local event service. Often they are also available in DIY stores, such as hornbach.de. There you will find different versions in different sizes, so that you can also choose smaller models. The investment is particularly worthwhile if you frequently get a higher number of visits.

4. find rain alternative

Unfortunately it is not possible to order the right weather for the soccer game. So it can of course happen that it suddenly starts raining. No need to drop the party in the water. The party can be a complete success even in bad weather. All you have to do beforehand is think about an alternative in good time. Would it be possible to take all the other viewers into the house? Or do you have a larger roof shelter where you can accommodate all your guests? If this is not the case, you can also erect a pavilion, such as the one available at faltpavillon-profi.de in various sizes. The pavilions are stable, waterproof and windproof. So you don’t have to be afraid that it will fly away from you at the slightest gust and possibly cause damage to your neighbour.

If it doesn’t rain, you didn’t buy the pavilion for nothing. If the sun is shining too strongly, you may hardly see anything on the screen. Then the pavilion serves as sun protection.

5. provide food and drinks

Of course, every good party also needs something to eat and drink. You should make sure that the drinks are well chilled. If you don’t have too many refrigerators, you can also fill a bucket with cold water or ice cubes and cool the drinks in them. Cool boxes filled with ice cubes also offer an excellent cooling oasis. Think also of the drivers or those who do not want or are not allowed to drink alcohol. A refreshing fruit punch can provide some variety here.

“Cool gadget for beer drinkers: Hop Cave

In my circle of acquaintances the beer was brought out of the earth at the last game in the United States. With this cool gadget, the host has attracted all the attention. I was amazed how cool the beer actually was.

HopsCave

  • Keep beer cool and climate-neutral without a refrigerator… Even in summer pleasantly chilled!
  • “CLICK-IN” bottle holder with click-in system for clicking in up to 15 bottles: absolutely secure hold. Sturdy plastic frame with stainless steel handle for pulling out!
  • “ULTRA DICHT” Thermally insulated and UV-stable high-tech lid with pressure relief valve and ventilation. Unbreakable and waterproof!
  • “ONE FOR ALL” No matter which shape or size: The HopfenHöhle fits all beer bottles with crown corks. Long neck bottles (0,33/0,5l), half-litre mason jugs, push bottles etc.

Beside tasty drinks, of course, the food must not be missing. A very popular feature of football parties is barbecuing. Depending on when you want to eat, however, one must always stand at the grill. For such parties I favor personal always so called finger food. This can be prepared well in advance and saves stress during the football match. So that you do not have to stand alone for hours in the kitchen, you can also distribute the snacks among your guests. It’s a lot easier when everyone brings something.

6. setting the scene for a garden with lighting

When it slowly gets dusky in the evening, there is time for atmospheric lighting. That makes the whole thing a little more comfortable. The best way is to use light chains, solar lamps or torches for the surroundings. You can put little tea lights on the tables.

7. children

First of all children are always full of euphoria – they absolutely want to watch football together with the big ones. However, they cannot stand it for long on the chairs or benches, at least the younger children. They want to pursue their urge to move. Why don’t you take care of a small children’s corner away from the football action? For boys a ball and a goal, which can also consist of two sticks in the lawn, is sufficient. So they can emulate their great idols. Girls like to romp along or paint off the beaten track in a quiet corner.

8. note volume

In most cases, the games are over before the legal night’s rest at 22 o’clock. Sometimes, however, this cannot be avoided by overtime and penalty kicks. If that’s the case, you’d better calm down a little. Or you can talk to your neighbours beforehand that it might be possible to get a little louder. It is often possible to reach an agreement without having to call the police for disturbing the peace.
