Compost Tea Bags

You've heard of compost tea? Well, now there are ready-made compost tea bags for your gardening convenience. Great for all plants, they're especially for container plants and indoor houseplants. They're easy to use too. Simply drop a compost tea bag into one gallon of water in a watering can or bucket and let the tea bag steep for 15 minutes or so. Water away! Compost tea is fine for foliage as well as soil, but you might want to avoid using it directly on flowers and foliage you're going to eat such as edible flowers and crops like lettuce or spinach.

Many compost tea bags are organic and contain the same ingredients that you'd get if you were to make your own compost tea at home--maybe even better since there might be a few ingredients thrown into the mix that you might not ordinarily put into your compost like sea kelp. The main benefit of using compost tea bags and compost tea in general is of course adding nutrients and beneficial microorganisms to the soil that in turn promote the health and vigor of your plants.

You can buy Compost Tea by the box (pictured above), in liquid form, or make your own compost tea bags or compost tea in bulk using a Compost Tea Brewer.
