How to keep deer and rabbits from eating your plants is a subject that comes up often in the world of gardening, but recently a new product came on the market that earned a 94 percent approval rating after being tested by members of the National Home Gardening Club of America. It's called Plant Pro-Tec Deer & Rabbit Repellent. Made by Organic Control/Orcon a California company that has been in business since 1976, when it began offering a complete line of beneficial insects to home gardeners, Plant Pro-Tec Deer & Rabbit Repellent is 100 percent organic and biodegradable. The container it comes in is made of biodegradable plastic. The formula uses highly concentrated garlic oil that is delivered via a patented system that slowly releases the active ingredients over time, which keeps the odor strong and effective for between six to eight months. Plant Pro-Tec is effective even if when rains. Plant Pro-Tec Deer & Rabbit Repellent is sold in bags of 12, 25, 50, and 250 count units, each individual units are clipped directly onto the plant, laid on the ground, or attached to a fence close to the plant.
