GardenSoxx

Grow your garden anywhere you want with a new product called GardenSoxx from Urban Organics.

GardenSoxx is a unique product from Urban Organics, a company we wrote about a few months ago here at The Daily Dirt. Remember our story about the composted manure? Well, GardenSoxx uses some of that composted manure in the soil they use to fill GardenSoxx. But before I get into the soil mix, let me explain the concept behind the product.

GardenSoxx has partnered with Filtrexx International, an erosion control company that uses a special “nylon sock” filled with rocks, soil, and seeds for erosion control. Urban Organics took the idea of the "erosion control sock", which resembles a man’s dress sock, and filled it with a specially developed mix of soil manures suitable for planting. Voila! A mini garden.

GardenSoxx are portable, maintenance free, and are weed seed free (say that three times fast!). Great for guerilla gardeners, seniors, and school garden projects, or anyone else who is looking for an easy solution to growing a garden, whether it’s in raised beds, concrete slab, or asphalt playground. Simply plant your own seeds—flowers or vegetables—and watch your garden grow.

Visit Urban Organics Ohio for more information.
